Freedom From Fascism, A Christian Response to Mass Formation Psychosis

I know what some of you are thinking. It is not the season for freedom. It has fallen out of fashion. We at Freedom Matters Today still believe in freedom and true freedom is why we are here. Why does freedom matter today?

Freedom matters today because freedom comes from God and not from us.

Freedom matters because it has been distorted by misinformation and fake news.

Freedom matters today because we need to be free.

The Bible talks about freedom. What does it really say? It is quite possible you are a victim of misinformation from people in power who want to keep the Bible closed. Instead, they tell you to sit down, shut up and do as you are told.

Our goal is to open the Bible, and let God speak today to us about who we are, who he is and why he sent Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to break the hypnotic power many people have over you, your life, your choices, and your freedom. You have a mind of your own. Think for yourself. Let God speak through his Word. At the beginning of the second decade of this century, the best our world can offer is a menu of poisonous delicacies crafted from years of preparation, and take your pick: fascism, fear, shame, guilt, prejudice, sin, evil, war. Human freedom is often a synonym for living in chains.

Some nations once free, have now embraced their true love of fascism. It was only a matter of time.

Freedom matters today, more than ever, and no more than in dark places, perhaps where you are, right now. I do not know your situation. I do not know your pain, or your heart or your life. But I speak to all of you with what I can, with words and ideas and encouragement and hope.

My desire is that Freedom Matters Today becomes a place of hope, encouragement, and refuge for those in our world who suffer in silence in all the dark places, that you are not alone, and you are never alone if you know God and God knows you.

It is time to step out into the light.

It is time to wake up.

It is time to be free.
